Curved glass lid, with stainless steel rim and button, made in France by CRISTEL and from the Collection 1826.
This collection is inspired by Cristel's past creations and in particular their first creations, in 1826. It was in fact, in their factory that the first stamped saucepan in the world was released on that date. 200 years have passed and Cristel decided to pay homage to this historic product and start from its design to create a new collection. Of course, Cristel took care to bring to this 1826 collection all the know-how and technical advances of our time.
The lid is made of tempered curved glass ultra-resistant to shocks and temperatures.
A stainless steel surround all around, and on top of the lid, a conical button, also all stainless steel.
This button is very comfortable to hold.
The rounded shape of the lid allows:
- retain moisture during cooking
- preserve the hydration of foods
- preserves the nutritional qualities of foods
It is thus essential for:
- Keep dishes at temperature
- Boil water quickly and thus save energy
- Distribute heat evenly throughout the utensil for optimal cooking
- Easily monitor your preparations, since you can see through
It is adaptable to all utensils from the 1826 Collection, but also to those from other Cristel collections.
The lid can be baked in the oven up to 220°C (except grill).
